Governors

The Governors help the school to function effectively and smoothly.  The Full Governing Body meets six times a year to set the strategy and policies for the school and to review the latest progress reports from the Head and minutes from both the Learning and Resources Committees.  Governors are encouraged to ask questions and to participate in discussions.  Meetings are open to the public and all minutes (with the exception of confidential material) are available in the school office.

There are 17 Governors including:

  • 2 Parent Governors, elected by parents

  • 12 Co-opted Governors, nominated by the Governing Body

  • 1 Headteacher

  • 1 Staff Governor

  • 1 Local Authority Governor, nominated by South Gloucestershire Council
