It was a super afternoon for the KS2 children to take part in their sports day. They all worked as a team and encouraged each other brilliantly to earn as many house points as they could. We also had some pre-school children who joined in with their own version of sports day. Congratulations to Quarry House who scored the most points and won the cup for KS2. A big thank you to all parents, family and friends who also came along to watch and support the children during the afternoon.
Year 5 Netball
7 children from Year 5 joined some of the other local schools from Thornbury to take part in a netball tournament. It was their first tournament and they all played brilliantly individually as well as developing as a team throughout the competition. A special well done to Noah, Logan, Rebecca and Evie for showing great perseverance when shooting and scoring goals for the team. They won two out of the three games played. Well done everyone.
Year 2 Day of Dance
Manorbrook were delighted to welcome 4 other local primary schools to our annual 'Day of Dance' this afternoon. Each school had the opportunity to perform their own style of dance and as a cluster we all danced the 'Pat-a-cake Polka' and 'Circassian Circle' together. It was lovely to see the different styles of dance ranging from Modern Contemporary, Bollywood and Country. Well done to everyone who took part, you really were all amazing! Also, thank you to all the parents, carers, families and friends who came along to show their support. It makes all the difference having an audience to actually perform to.
KS1 Sports Day
All the children from KS1 took part in our annual sports day at Manorbrook this afternoon. They were fantastic! Each and everyone of them tried their best, never gave up and supported each other brilliantly. Congratulations to everyone in Brook house for winning the most points and the cup for KS1. Thank you to all the parents, family and friends who came along to cheer and support the children. It always makes a huge difference to have such a supportive crowd.
